Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi.
You will have a breakfast and our driver will lead you through the amazing long journey to south western part of Uganda in to Bwindi Impenetrable national park. The park is famously known for Gorillas which are close relative of humans due to 98% DNA. The journey to the mysterious tropical forest of Bwindi takes about 9-10 hours drive using Masaka-Mbarara route where you will have lunch in Mbarara. Although it seems to be along journey, it is worthy it due to beautiful sceneries spotted along the way like Lake Mburo national park, Lake Bunyonyi, an amazing landscape of kabale and fogged misty forest of Bwindi, Virunga ranges and Rwenzori ranges. While in Bwindi you will check in at Bakiga Lodge/Gorilla Mist Camp/Ruhija Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking & culture encounters.
After having at early morning breakfast, you will be picked at the lodge at 6:00am for briefing at UWA headquarters about gorilla trekking dos and don’ts. Visitors are expected to pack cameras, rain coat, comfortable hiking boots, long trousers, long t-shirts, water & snacks and many more. After the briefing, rangers will lead you into the forest to search gorillas in their habitants. While with gorillas, visitors are given one hour visit and are limited to 8 individuals that above 15 years of age. You will return to the lodge for relaxation as you enjoy lunch.
Afternoon hours, the guide will lead you for culture encounters to the local communities around the park. Visitors will have time to be with Batwa people will entertain them in their traditional dances, spot black clothing, visit their grass thatched houses, traditional doctors and many more. Later they will return to the lodge for relaxation, spa and will be served dinner after they have an overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth Park & boat cruise
You will have breakfast then transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park which is the second largest and oldest park in Uganda from Murchison falls national park. You will enter the park using southern side of Ishasha sector where you will spot lion climbing trees as you pass through heading to check in at Elephant Plains lodge/Bufalo safari lodge /Mweya safari lodge for lunch. Later in the afternoon, you will do boat cruise as you spot various mammals along lake shores like buffalos, elephants, Uganda kobs, hippopotamus and various water birds like Egyptian birds, flamingos, grey crowned crane and many more. Then you will return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Game drive & chimpanzees tracking.
In the morning after the breakfast, you will go for a game drive to the Kasenyi Sector where you will be rewarded with early risers and graciers mammals like lions, bushbucks, possibly Leopard, among others. You will then proceed to Kibale Forest NP which will be 2 hour drive from the park reaching early for Lunch. In the afternoon, you may proceed for a nature walk to the Bigodi wetland sanctuary. Dinner and Overnight at Kyaninga Lodge/Crater Safari Lodge/Primates Lodge/Chimpanzee Guest House.
Day 5: Departure.
In the morning after breakfast, the guide will take you to UWA headquarters where you will gather at the park for briefing and then go for chimp tracking in the forest where you will encounter other primates. In return, you will set off to Kampala, reaching early in the evening.
