After a long week of work with noise in Kampala city, I decide to plan a hideout weekend in jinja city at Busowoko falls which is surrounded by various bird species, flowing water and green vegetation. Jinja city is a touristic city that is natural made with Nile flowing in it heading to Mediterranean Sea.
My friends and I decided to visit busowoko falls since jinja city has various activities like water bycling, river tubing, bungee jumping, boat cruise, sports fishing, water rafting , zip lining and many more. Since we had only the weekend to explore jinja city, we had to decide for Busowoko falls to have a sweet pain water message as we enjoy the beauty and sound of the falls.
Our trip started in Kampala city where we travelled a distance of about 79km taking about 3-4 hours using Mukono jinja route however jinja city can also be reached out using Gayaza -kasanganti jinja route. While on the way my friends and I used mukono -jinja route where we fell in love on the road trip. We made a stop over at namawojjolo where we enjoyed street chicken, mukyomo and ngojja. It was a beautiful moment while on the way we visited mabira forest for zip lining which was amazing experience as we walked through the forest where we spotted Griffin falls in the forest. After zip lining, we spotted also suger cane plantation on a large scale as continued to jinja city.
About Busowoko falls.
At the gate, we were ushered into the facility by a steward and each one of us paid Shs 10,000 for entrance. The sounds and ripples of gushing waters gave us a hint of what to expect. A relaxing atmosphere starts to engulf the air and guess how our faces looked like wow.
Busowoko falls looks raw with a few touches that make you appreciate nature however other people explore it for some other reasons like traditional for worshiping ancestral spirits which they said they have existed for many years ago.
Despite the fact that I love photography, I started taking beautiful photos of the nature and my friends too as we walk towards the falls that is surrounded with beautiful stones, white water, green vegetation and restaurant.
After enjoying the beauty, we decided to do river tubing on white waters as well as enjoying the massage along the falls however don’t let your excitement make you rush for message without the help of a guide.
As we explore the beauty, the guide took my hand as he warns me and my friends about the slippery rocks so he directed us to a place spotted like a basin where we would bend our legs.
As soon as we stepped in, despite the cold water, we never wanted to miss the fun and excitement as we were being careful about the slippery rocks
About the excitement.
Despite the fact that my friends and I were more excited to see how water massage would be, we moved carefully about the slippery rocks and reached the falls for massage. We were all dressed in shorts since it was not a swimming pool as soon as we entered water, all our clothes stick to us as if we were glued.
As I reached on the falls for massage, the water pushing my back was extremely thrilling, especially as I continued changing my body. I felt it getting stronger and comfortable as I can’t keep my mouth shut other than streaming on top of my voice.
Imagine that feeling of being undressed by the water forces which highlighted my day with my friends.
If it was not the change of weather because it was going to rain, my friends and I would stay in water acting like fish which stays in water the day and night. As soon as we got out of the message, our guide told us that we were lucky that water levels are high. He continuously said that the water massage area is dry without a simple drop.
We went and dressed up, took some hot coffee at the restaurant as well as ordering fish with chimps. Our eyes couldn’t get enough due to beauty of the eco -friendly environment at Busowoko falls.
After having sometime at Busowoko falls, we drove to jinja town which is 19km for an overnight at Jinja Nile resort.
The next day, we drove back to Kampala the capital city.
I personally recomment every travel holidayer to visit Jinja city during Uganda safari because it is the best destination for leisure and relaxation that you wi
