Murchison falls national park is located in northwestern part of Uganda sitting on the shores of Lake Albert. It is the oldest and largest park in Uganda and famous known for having most powerful falls called Murchison falls where the Victoria Nile River squeezes through a narrow gap over a massive drop of water thus making a roar sound like that of a lion.
4 days trips in Murchison falls national park is an amazing because the park not only includes the falls but also wildlife species like elephants and hippos, and there are chimpanzees in the Kaniyo Pabidi mahogany forest, birding, nature walk, culture encounters and boat cruise.
Highlights
Day 1: Transfer to zziwa Rhino sanctuary then to Murchison falls national park

Day 1: Transfer to Zziwa Rhino sanctuary then to Murchison falls National Park.
You will be picked up from Entebbe airport or your hotel to around 8 am and start the journey to Murchison falls national park passing via Luwero – Nakasongola route where you will track Rhinos in zziwa Rhino sanctuary taking about 2-3 hours tracking. Before heading to Murchison falls national park, you will have lunch then after you will proceed to the park for over nights.
Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise.
You will wake up early morning, have breakfast and set off for early morning game drive where you will spot early raisers and graciers in the park like lions, elephants, giraffes, warthogs, kobs, water bucks, leopards, buffalos, bush bucks and various bird species likes grey crowned crane, wagtail, great blue turacos, shoebill, kingfishers, white egrets, owl, and many more. The game drive will take about 2-3 hours and our professional guide will be taking you through. After you will go back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation as you prepare for boat cruise in the afternoon. While on the Boat cruise, you will spot various mammals along the shores like forest elephants, water bucks, kobs, bush bucks, buffalos, crocodiles, spotting bottom side of Murchison falls, green vegetation and various bird species. The boat cruise will take about 2-3 hours and your advised to take as many photos as you want.
After a such long day of activities, you will go back to the lodge for relaxation either, swimming or free wifi to chat with friends and families as you get ready for supper and long night.
Day 3: Chimpanzees tracking and visiting the top side of the falls.
On day 3, you will wake up and have breakfast from the lodge as you dress up for chimpanzees tracking in Budongo forest in the park. You will first visit UWA center for briefing and then head on for tracking chimps in their homes. The activity many take half or full day searching for chimps so your expected to pack, water &snacks, cameras, comfortable hiking boots, long trousers, long t-shirts and many more. Chimps in budongo forest cost $120 per day and allows 8 individuals that are above 15 years of age. After the activity, you will have lunch as you prepare to hike the top side of Murchison falls. The powerful falls in the whole world will leave you speechless and your free to take as many photos as you want and if your lucky enough with sunny weather, you will be able to spot a rainbow on top of the falls.
Day 4: Departure.
Since it a last day at the lodge, you will wake in the morning, have break fast and our guide will help you pack your luggage in the car ready to set off from Masindi to Kampala.
