Security team in Uganda suspected the ADF rebels to have killed honeymoon couple of names of David and Celia Barlow with a guide in Queen Elizabeth national park during game drive along katunguru-Mweya road near lake Katwe. The police spokesperson confirmed it and said that their tourism vehicle number UBF 303C was set on fire after the incident and was branded Wildlife Gorilla safari.
Enanga said they have registered a cowardly terrorist attack on two foreign tourists and a Ugandan in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The three were killed, and their safari vehicle burnt. Their joint forces responded immediately upon receiving the information and are aggressively pursuing the suspected ADF rebels.
The incident happened in kasese district around Lake Nyamunanuka and it is said that the woman who was killed was from south Africa, man was from UK and Eric the Ugandan tour guide. To ensure account for the ADF rebels heinous act, UPDF, Uganda police and UWA are working together and has deployed all resources technical and physical in pursuit of these terrorists.
Despite of this isolated incident, Uganda is secure and safe and efforts are in place to ensure this safety is unperturbed. Therefore, the population is requested to be vigilant and cooperate with the forces.
